Colorful Pet Portraits!!

Happy Day!!!
16 x 20
Have also been painting pet portraits using bright colors!  Love the effect it gives each painting.
I especially like to use a close up of the animals face.  They always look like they are smiling at us.
And we can always use a smile!   Hope you enjoy these and they are available for sale.   I also do
commission!   So just send me an email if you have questions....

Finally Back!

I have not blogged for a long time!  You know how life gets in the way of plans!
But I am back and have been working and painting on some new things.  Thinking about a
website too but have not gotten to that yet.  But anyway here are some new paintings.
Have been working on watercolors - teaching my self.  I found an old book by Bud Biggs
Watercolor Workbook that I found to be very helpful.  It is from the 1987 so you may only
be able to find resale ones.   Hope you enjoy these.  See you next time.....

Pet Portraits on Ornaments

One of the things I like to do is paint pet portraits commissions on ornaments.  I  paint them on a 2 5/8 inch ornaments with acrylics and then sealed with several coats of varnish.   The background is an off white or really whatever color you wish.   I thought I would show several I had done for Christmas.

A bunch I did for show - just waiting for new home!

Another Cutie!

This one turned out great!
Cat ornaments waiting to go to show!
A commission cat ornament!

These make a nice gift or a memorial to a beloved
pet.   All I need is a detail photo of the markings on the cat or dog.   The more detail the better.
The dogs are painted head profiles only whereas
the cats can be painted more three dimensional,
but of course would need a good photo showing all the markings on the cat.

Commission is $25 (included in this is shipping
and gift box).   If you are interested in having one
of these painted just send me an email.   The photos
can be sent email also.  Delivery is three weeks from
 receiving order.   Thanks for looking!!!

I'm Back with Collages!!!

Angel    10 inch x 10 inch

I'm finally getting back into the grove again.  During the holidays time just got away from me.
Will try to post new artwork once a week.  This will also keep me on course to make more art work.

I have been working more with mixed media/ collages- using paint, some scrapbooking papers I had and  also some papers I have made myself.   I have a ton of art supplies so am looking for ways to think outside the box.  I used a hand carved stamp for a border on the one above.  I have been inspired seeing Anne Bagby's work in which she used her own hand carved stamps.

All these are for sale.  If you are further interested just send me an email.   Hope you have enjoyed
what you have seen...........Pam

New Painting!

Here is a painting just completed    This was painted from a photo taken at the Phoenix zoo.
I projected it on the canvas and painted a faux frame around the
giraffe to make it look as though he is looking
out of the picture.  Thanks for stopping by.

A New Post!!!!

Wow, where did all the time go.  Got involved with other things and am just now getting back to blogging.
You know what they say, life happens when you have made other plans.  Anyway, here is a
mini album I made from paper from Graphics 45 " Ladies Diary".   I ordered a kit from Merry Seaver at
Mini Album Scraps  I'm still using all the paper and embellishments in
that kit.  The design is based on one by Susie Mc Guire of Creative Cafe.  Had a lot of fun putting
it all together and learned some new techniques (thank you Susie!)  There is a little mini book with six
pages for photos in the picture below.

What else is on my easel?  Am getting ready for an art show first of October.  I'll post some
photos next time.  Until then - take care........
